Giving Back in Southern Arizona

One of the things we love most about our industry is the generosity we see on a regular basis. Our neighbors and fellow contractors, Tucson Electric Power (TEP), just celebrated 125 years of being a leader in the Tucson community. To commemorate the anniversary, Tucson Electric Power worked with Habitat for Humanity and Literacy Connects on October 28th to help out locally. The awesome employees at TEP helped build an affordable housing development with help from Habitat for Humanity and Literacy Connects. Together they were able to create nine new homes, which have been named Minton Court.

During TEP’s day of service, volunteers painted, pulled weeds, and picked up trash in an effort to beautify the area. They also had to prune surrounding trees, break up concrete, and prep the foundation for the new affordable housing developments being built. While adults volunteered, children enjoyed face painting and storytelling.

We believe that playing a part in the local community is extremely important to the development of the cities we live and work in. By helping others out, communities will be able to grow and thrive. Great job Tucson Electric Power, your work is greatly appreciated!
